A motorcyclist in his early 40s has died following a collision involving a car in Clifden, Co Kilkenny.
The collision occurred on the R712 in the townland of Blanch Field Park at around 4.50pm on Saturday.
The motorcyclist died following the collision with the car.
Another two male motorcyclists were also injured and taken to University Hospital Waterford, with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, and his two female passengers were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact them. In particular, they would like to hear from anyone who may have camera footage (including dash cam) and who was travelling in the area.

The crash comes a day after two motorcyclists died in a collision on Dublin's M50 motorway.
