Wicklow road covered in rubble after partial building collapse

A road in Bray, Co Wicklow, was left covered in rubble this morning after a parapet on a terrace of four buildings collapsed, according to Bray Municipal District Council.

The Bray Municipal District Council, of Wicklow County Council, said "a decorative parapet on a terrace of four buildings collapsed" on Goldsmith Terrace in the town.

A parapet is a low wall along the edge of a roof.

In a statement, the council said: "An Garda Síochána and Wicklow County Council Fire Service attended the scene along with council engineers."

No injuries were reported.

The area was cordoned off and the road will reopen to traffic later this afternoon.

Wicklow County Council is engaging with the owners of the affected properties.
