More than 3,000 homes, farms and businesses are without power in Co Waterford this morning, following inclement weather overnight.

ESB Networks says the large fault is focused in the Kilmacthomas area.

The fault also affected customers in Stradbally.

It said crews are working to resolve the issue and that it hopes power will be restored later this morning.

ESB Networks has apologised for the inconvenience.

It said it would restore power as quickly as possible.
