Drugs worth around €1.24 million have been found in a ditch in Co Laois.
Gardaí recovered 62kg of cannabis herb in the ditch on a secondary road along the Carlow-Laois border yesterday, as the result of an intelligence-led operation carried out by gardaí from Arles and Ballylinan supported by the Laois Divisional Drugs Unit.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
