A garda investigation is under way into fire damage at an Independent councillor and general election candidate's constituency office in Co Meath.
The office of Sharon Keoghan in Duleek was damaged by fire and smoke overnight.
She made history earlier this year by becoming the first woman to take a seat in two electoral areas.
Cllr Keoghan topped the poll in Laytown Bettystown where she was a sitting councillor and was also elected in the Ashbourne area.
A garda forensic examination has begun.
Speaking to RTÉ News, Cllr Keoghan said she was relieved the whole office did not go, as people live upstairs.
"I'm just stuck for words at this time," she added.
