A man in his 70s has died in hospital after being seriously injured in a road collision a week ago.

The man was cycling in the Shankill area of Paulstown, Co Kilkenny last Tuesday, 29 October when he collided with a parked lorry.

The victim has been named as 70-year-old Henry Corrigan who was from the Sliguff area outside Bagenalstown in Co Carlow.

He was taken to St Luke's General Hospital for treatment but has since died from his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who may have camera footage from the area.
