A man in his 20s has been arrested and a firearm recovered following a search in Co Kildare.
Gardaí on patrol at Brownstown stopped and searched the man yesterday, after they observed him "with a concealed item".
He was arrested at the scene and is being questioned at Kildare Garda Station.
