Emergency services are at the scene of a light aircraft crash in Co Kilkenny.
It is understood a man sustained serious injuries in the incident, which happened sometime after 9pm in the Gowran area of the county, about 6km from Kilkenny city.
The Air Accident Investigations Unit were advised by gardaí of the incident and have sent a team, consisting of a pilot and engineer, to the scene.
The AAIU experts will conduct an initial examination of the aircraft and the area where the crash happened.
Fire engines, ambulances and garda vehicles are already at the scene of the crash.
It is believed the aircraft was occupied by a local businessman when it crashed.
