Residents and businesses in three Co Louth locations have been warned of possible disruption to their water supply tomorrow, due to repair works on water mains.

Irish Water and Louth County Council have said that essential repairs on the Slievebreagh reservoir trunk water main might result in disruption to the water supply in Ardee Town, Pepperstown and Mullenstown.

The works are due to be carried out from 8am to 6pm.

In a statement, Irish Water says that once the repair works are complete, it will take a number of hours for normal water supply to be restored to normal for any customers that are impacted.

The statement also says that a traffic management system will be in place for the duration of the works.
