A man has been arrested following the seizure of an estimated €95,000 worth of heroin in Co Kilkenny.

The drugs were discovered by gardaí when they stopped a car coming off the M9 motorway at the Knocktopher exit at 11pm last night.

The man is being questioned at Thomastown Garda Station

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was arrested and is currently being detained at Thomastown Garda Station.

The planned operation, targeting the sale and supply of drugs in south Tipperary and Kilkenny, was conducted by gardaí from the Tipperary Divisional Drugs Unit and members of the Armed Support Unit.
