An investigation is under way following the death of a man who was attending a music event in Co Meath.

It is understood that the 19-year-old took ill at the end of the event which was being held at Fairyhouse Racecourse.

He was taken to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to try to determine the cause of the man's death.

The Boxed Off music event is a one-day electronic music festival.

It is the fourth time the event has taken place in Ireland.
