€270,000 in cash has been seized by gardaí in Co Louth as part of a crackdown on organised crime.
The seizure was made during a search in Drogheda yesterday afternoon.
In a statement, gardaí said that: "At 2pm on the 9th of August 2018, crime units/detective unit from Drogheda Garda Station, assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit, conducted searches of the buildings and surrounding areas of a halting site at Mell in Drogheda.
"During the course of the search cash in excess of €250,000 was discovered."
A quantity of drugs, thought to be cocaine, was also seized.
The drugs are estimated to be worth about €5,000.
No arrests have been made.
