An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of Cameron Reilly in Co Louth.

He is being held at Drogheda Garda Station and is due to appear before Drogheda District Court tomorrow morning.

Mr Reilly, 18, was last seen in the vicinity of Ardee Road, Dunleer at around 12.30am on Saturday 26 May.

His body was found in a field on the edge of the town by a man walking his dog at 8am that morning.

A post-mortem examination found he had been strangled.

The first-year business student at Dundalk Institute of Technology had been out socialising the night before.
