A man in his 20's has been arrested in connection with a garda investigation into a number of burglaries in recent weeks in the south Kilkenny area.
The man is being detained at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
As part of Operation Thor, Gardaí in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny carried out a search of premises in the south Kilkenny area yesterday..
During the course of the search, a substantial amount of property was recovered including two caravans, a 4 X 4 vehicle, a trailer, quad bikes and a large number of power tools.
