Three people arrested in connection with the murder of Patricia O'Connor, whose dismembered remains were found in the Dublin-Wicklow Mountains earlier this year, have been released from custody.

A 73-year-old man was arrested in Co Meath, while two women aged 19 and 38 were arrested in Dublin yesterday.

They were questioned at Bray and Wicklow Garda Stations before being released today.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, according to gardaí.

Ms O'Connor, 61, was first reported missing on 2 June.

Her remains were subsequently found scattered across a 30km area of Dublin and Wicklow later that month.

One man has already been charged with her murder and is currently before the courts.
