A 4x4 and four bottles of a substance used to euthanise animals were stolen during a burglary in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.
An investigation is under way into the incident, which happened at a premises in the Co Wicklow village between 6.30pm and 7.40pm on Friday.
The black Land Rover Discovery, with a 10-D registration, contained 400ml of 'Dolethal' pentobarbital.
The toxic substance is not intended for human consumption and is used by veterinarians to euthanise small animals and cattle.
The product, which is a red colour, was in four 100ml clear glass bottles with the 'Dolethal' brand name.
Gardaí and the Health Products Regulatory Authority are very anxious that this item is recovered.
