Police in England have issued an appeal for information following the death of an Offaly man in London.

Joseph Kelly, 62, who was originally from Tullamore, collapsed and died after an altercation in north London on 12 April.

It is believed he was in an argument with two teenagers on Moselle Avenue in Wood Green before he collapsed.

He was taken to a north London hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The results of a post-mortem examination were inconclusive and police are awaiting the results of further tests.

Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks of Haringey CID said police are not treating Mr Kelly’s death as murder, but an investigation continues into the circumstances of his death.

Mr Kelly, who was not married, was a fitter and welder and his work took him all over Europe.

In recent years he had settled in north London.
