Operations at a Bord na Móna owned peat-burning power station in the midlands will come to a halt for the second time in ten days tomorrow when workers stage strike action.

SIPTU members at Edenderry Power Ltd will begin a 24-hour work stoppage at 7.30am.

The action is a result of a dispute concerning collective bargaining rights on salaries at the power generation plant.

Pickets will be placed on the entrance to the plant. For the duration of this industrial action the power station will not be supplying energy to the national electricity grid.
