Over than 6,390 televisions in Ireland have been recalled due to a fuse issue.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) said that a safety issue has been identified with the fuse within certain power plugs in some Toshiba, Technika and Walker televisions.
"The product represents a fire risk because the fuse inside the supplied UK power plug may not operate correctly.
"If an electrical fault occurs, the fuse may fail to disconnect the power supply, allowing electricity to continue flowing into the TV, which could lead to overheating or fire," the CCPC said.
Customers are being advised to stop using the product immediately, switch it off, and unplug it from the mains.
It said that the safety issue relates to the mains plug fuse and not to the television unit itself.
There are around 6,206 affected products in the Republic of Ireland which were on sale between October 2025 and April 2026.
Separately, the CCPC said a safety issue has been identified with the fuse within certain power plugs in a selected batch of NordMende televisions.
It said that there are around 189 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
