A Status Yellow wind and rain warning for counties Cork and Kerry has been lifted.
Met Éireann said there would be very strong and gusty southwesterly winds, along with squally heavy showers or longer spells of rain, and a chance of hail and thunder.
It warned there could also be a risk of spot flooding.
It was in place until 8pm.
A separate Status Yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo was lifted at 2pm this afternoon.
A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning in place for Cork, Kerry and Waterford has also been lifted,
