Gardaí investigating the explosion at a service station and building complex in Creeslough, Co Donegal that claimed the lives of 10 people on 7 October 2022 have submitted a supplementary file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The supplementary file is in addition to the primary file submitted to the DPP on 29 September 2025 and it includes formal recommendations from An Garda Síochána.
Earlier this evening, gardaí held a family liaison briefing with victims' families.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information in relation to the fatal explosion and who may not have spoken formally to them to date to contact the garda investigation team.
They can be contacted at Milford Garda Station where an incident room continues to investigate under the direction of a garda Senior Investigating Officer, the Garda Confidential Line or through any garda station.
An Garda Síochána said victims’ families continue to be supported by Family Liaison Officers with regular briefings.
The statement concluded: "An Garda Síochána continues to remember the 10 deceased… Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha dilís, go léir."
Yesterday, Donna Harper who lost her 14-year-old daughter Leona in the explosion confirmed that the Minister for Justice’s Office had made contact to arrange a meeting with bereaved families.
Ms Harper confirmed a delegation of relatives of those killed and injured in the explosion will travel to Dublin in the coming weeks to meet Minister O’Callaghan.
Ms Harper and her husband Hugh briefly met with him when he visited Donegal last December.
Amongst the topics expected to be discussed at the meeting is the minister's view on a possible public inquiry into the tragedy.
Earlier this year, Minister O'Callaghan said the garda investigation into the tragedy must be finalised before any public inquiry could take place.
Those who died in the Creeslough tragedy were Robert Garwe and his five-year-old daughter Shauna Flanagan-Garwe; Catherine O’Donnell and her 13-year-old son James Monaghan; Jessica Gallagher; Martin McGill; James O’Flaherty; shop worker Martina Martin; Hugh Kelly; and Leona Harper.
