A woman in her 60s has died in hospital after she was seriously injured in a road crash in Co Clare last month.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 10.50pm on Friday 27 March on the R458 Rathfolan near Newmarket-on-Fergus.
The woman, who was driving the car, was brought to University Hospital Limerick, where she died yesterday evening.
A woman travelling with her, who is in her 70s, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, or road users with camera footage (including dash-cam), who were on the R458, near Rathfollan, Newmarket on Fergus, on 27 March 2026 between 10.30pm and 11pm, to contact Shannon Garda Station on 061 365 900, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
