The Criminal Assets Bureau has sold two properties in Dublin and Waterford for close to €750,000.
A four-bedroom, three-bathroom house on Ratoath Road which CAB seized from the convicted drug dealer David Waldron sold for close to half a million euro.
Waldron, who is linked to organised crime groups in Dublin, could not credibly explain where he got the money to buy the house and other properties.
Mr Justice Alex Owens ruled the house on Ratoath Road and two other homes in Dublin and Wexford were the proceeds of crime.
Waldron spent €633,000 renovating the house on Ratoath Road and another €314,000 on a house in Leixlip.
The house on Ratoath Road was sold for €490,000 this afternoon, which was €145,000 above its advised minimum value.
The High Court accepted that Waldron has been "a major player" since 2000 and that his main income was from drug dealing.
It found he was "heavily involved" in drug dealing and "has had access to large sums of money generated by drug dealing".
The Waldrons took over "a leading role" in sourcing and supplying drugs in Cabra in Dublin after the murder of the criminal gang leader and drug dealer Eamon Dunne in April 2010.
Waldron was also a close associate of Darren Kearns, Michael Kelly and Daithí Douglas who were all shot dead in gangland murders between 2011 and 2016.
CAB also sold another property in Waterford today that it had seized from John O'Connor junior, who was convicted of aggravated money laundering and tax evasion in Sweden.
He was targeted as part of an international investigation involving CAB and the Swedish authorities.
The four-storey end of terrace building at O'Connell Street in Waterford city has a commercial premises at ground level and three apartments overhead.
It was sold today for €255,000.
It brings to €745,000 the total secured by CAB today following the sale of two seized properties today.
Two more properties in Limerick seized by the Bureau are due to be sold tomorrow.
