A man, who was arrested in connection with the investigation into the death of Daniel Aruebose, has been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Daniel was last seen alive at his home in The Gallery apartments in Donabate in 2021, when he was three years old.

His skeletal remains were found last September during a search of waste ground near his home.

Daniel's death and burial had been concealed until a check on social welfare payments first raised concerns at the Department of Social Protection, which alerted Tusla, who in turn contacted gardaí.

The man, who is in his 20s, was arrested at Dublin Airport on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and questioned at a garda station in Dublin.

He was released overnight.

A woman in her 20s, who was arrested last December on suspicion of murder, was later released without charge.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
