A teenage girl has died after being struck by a scrambler bike in Finglas in west Dublin.
The incident occurred around 2.20pm on the Ratoath Road between Scribblestown and Dunsink.
The girl was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for treatment of her injuries, where she has since died.
A man aged in his teens has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He is being held at a garda station in Dublin.
A technical examination was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them, in particular any road users or pedestrians who may have footage, including dash-cam, and who were in the area between 2.10pm and 2.40pm.
