A man in his late teens has died following a single-vehicle road crash in Loughrea, Co Galway.
The crash occurred in the N65 at Moyleen at around 2.20am.
The man who died was a passenger in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the vehicle and two other passengers were taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses, particularly any road users who were travelling on the N65 Loughrea to Ballinasloe road at Moyleen between 2am and 2.30am and who may have camera footage, including dashcam, to contact Loughrea Garda Station on 091 842 870, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
