A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning has been issued for counties Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow in conjunction with Munster.
Met Éireann said during the alert, which is valid until 11am tomorrow, temperatures could fall to "between -2C and -4C" in many areas.
A Status Yellow snow and ice warning for counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Connacht and Louth is also in effect until 11am tomorrow.

The UK Met Office also issued weather alerts for counties in Northern Ireland, with the forecaster warning that "snow and ice has the potential to cause disruption to travel in places throughout the weekend and into Monday morning".
A yellow warning for snow and Ice is in effect for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
The alert is valid until midday on Monday.
