A 16-year-old boy has died following a crash involving a tractor in Co Clare.
The crash occurred on the R458 at Bunnahow, which is located north of Crusheen, shortly before 2pm.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed for a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R458 between Gort and Crusheen at the time, to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
The boy's death brings to 188 the number of people killed on Irish roads so far this year.
