Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Dublin for his first official visit to Ireland.
He is accompanied by Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska.
His plane arrived shortly before 11pm tonight.
Mr Zelensky was greeted on Dublin Airport's runway by Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs Thomas Byrne.
Tomorrow, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Mr Martin and pay a courtesy call to President Catherine Connolly.
Mr Zelensky will then address a joint sitting of the Houses of the Oireachtas in the afternoon.
He will be met by Mr Martin on the steps of Government Buildings tomorrow morning, after his courtesy call to Áras an Uachtaráin.
Security checks have been taking place throughout the day in both Government Buildings and Leinster House along with the surrounding areas, in advance of the Ukrainian President's visit.
Due to security concerns Leinster House is closed to all but essential personnel with journalists, party officials and staff being told to work offsite. It is understood a security sweep of the building will also take place later today.
Separately at Government Buildings, a large viewing platform has been built.
Mr Zelensky's visit to Ireland comes at a critical time for the Ukrainian peace plan.
Mr Martin has said that he will discuss with Mr Zelensky the ways in which Ireland can ensure that Ukraine comes to the negotiating table in as strong a position as possible.

Meanwhile, Tánaiste Simon Harris views tomorrow's visit as an important opportunity for Mr Zelensky to see first hand the enormous solidarity in towns and villages across the country towards the Ukrainian people.
It comes as US and Ukrainian officials held what both sides called productive talks about a Russia peace deal, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressing optimism about progress despite challenges to ending the war.
