The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a recall notice on Dunnes Stores organic porridge oats on its 1kg pack size, due to what is says is the "possible presence of clear plastic pellets".

The product is time stamped between "06:00 and 12:00; best before 11/10/2026", the FSAI said.

"The above batch of Dunnes Stores Organic Porridge Oats is being recalled due to the possible presence of clear plastic pellets. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale," the notice stated.

The FSAI said that retailers are being asked to remove the implicated batch from sale and display a recall notice at point of sale.

Consumers are being advised not to eat the implicated batch.
