The body of a man in his 30s has been found outside a property in Co Louth.
The discovery was made around 8am at Dúiche Roden in Dundalk.
Gardaí have said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
The scene, which is sealed off, is being examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out on the man's body.
Gardaí said the results will determine the course of their investigation.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Dundalk Garda Station.
Dundalk gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them. They are seeking camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the Dúiche Roden or Demesne Road areas of Dundalk overnight.
