Eleven men have been arrested across four counties on foot of international arrest warrants in connection with serious crimes in other jurisdictions.
In a series of operations between 3 and 5 November, 11 men were arrested in counties Dublin, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan.
All 11 have been brought before the High Court for offences including attempted murder, supply of drugs, kidnapping, facilitation of illegal immigration, human trafficking, theft and road offences.
The offences were committed in other jurisdictions, including Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany and Lithuania.
The arrests were led by the Garda Extradition Unit, with support from members attached to other sections of the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
