Infant boy dies after Co Dublin road incident

An infant boy has died following a road traffic incident outside a house in Co Dublin this afternoon.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident in Rathmintin, Jobstown, Dublin 24 at 2pm.

The infant boy was transferred from the scene to Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

A Family Liaison Officer has being appointed to support the family at this time.

A technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators has since taken place.
