The funerals of Mark, Louise and Evan O'Connor are to take place in Dundalk, Co Louth.
The bodies of 54-year-old Mark, 56-year-old Louise and their 27-year-old son Evan were found dead at the O’Connor family home in the Drumgowna area last week.
Fr Gerry Campbell, the administrator for Louth parish, will be the chief celebrant at the joint funeral mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dundalk, this morning.
The mass will be celebrated by a number of priests from surrounding parishes, including the parish priest of St Patrick’s Church, Fr Mark O’Hagan.
Leading the prayers at a candlelit vigil last week, Fr Campbell said: "The loss of Mark, Louise and Evan has sent ripples of grief across our parish and across this land and into the hearts of all who have heard their story."
In lieu of sending flowers, the family requested that donations be made to The Hub Praxis Care in Drogheda and Drogheda Abacas School, "reflecting Mark and Louise’s care and generosity to others and the inspiration to many that Evan had become in his short but full life".
Mourners have also been asked "to wear odd socks in honour of one of Evan’s individualistic traits".
Staff at Praxis Care, where Evan had attended for the past nine years, last week described him as "nothing short of a bright shining star".
Meanwhile, Drogheda Abacas Special School paid tribute to Mark and Louise as "founder parents" and Evan as one of its first two pupils.
In a post on social medial, the school said: "Both Mark and Louise were passionate advocates for their son Evan and for all autistic people."
A private cremation service will take place following this morning’s funeral mass.
Robert O’Connor, 31, of Drumgowna, Louth Village, appeared before a special sitting of Drogheda District Court this day last week charged with three counts of murder.
The court was told that he had been with mental health services since the age of 22 and an application was made for him to receive the appropriate psychiatric assessment.
