An investigation began following the discovery of the man's body yesterday morning

Investigations are continuing into the death of a man whose body was discovered near Summerhill, Co Meath yesterday.

The discovery was made in the townland of Agher shortly before 10am.

The man's body was removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem examination has been completed.

Gardaí said the results of this post-mortem examination are not being released for operational reasons.

A technical examination of the scene has also been completed and a file will now be prepared for the local coroner.

However, it is understood that foul play is not currently suspected.
