Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Fiona Sinnott have concluded their search of an area in Co Wexford.
Members of her family have said that nothing of evidential value was found.
They thanked gardaí for their efforts.
Ms Sinnott was 19 when she disappeared.
She was socialising at Butler's Pub in Broadway, Co Wexford, with friends on the night of Sunday 8 February 1998. She left the pub at around midnight, which was the last confirmed sighting of her.
A motorcyclist saw a male and female on the road near Kisha Cross at around midnight that night, and there were two men in their late teens or early 20s close by.
None of these four people have come forward and gardaí say they are anxious to trace them or anyone who was in the vicinity who did not, or could not, come forward at the time.
Watch: Family of Fiona Sinnott say Wexford search is 'surreal'
Ms Sinnott was the mother of a baby daughter when she disappeared and lived at Ballyhitt, Broadway.
Gina Sinnott, who is Ms Sinnott's first cousin, said that the family have been cautiously hopeful with every search over the years.
She described Ms Sinnott as a "complete messer" who was "always joking and laughing around".
"She'd help you out in whatever way she could. She loved performing arts, she loved dancing, she loved singing, she loved cooking and bacon, and she wanted to follow in Diane's footsteps.
She loved darts, she was very competitive with darts but then again so was the whole family."
Her sister, Diane Sinnott, said it has been an emotional day.
"It’s been very hard not knowing where she is and that she’s still out there. It’s just been a torment and hasn’t got any easier.
"The two of us were typical children, teenagers, she was very bubbly, and she was loving life and had so much ahead of her."

Over the course of the investigation, more than 500 statements have been taken and thousands of documents and reports collated.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone with information in relation to Ms Sinnott's disappearance and murder, who has not already spoken to them, to come forward.
Anyone who may have previously come forward and felt they could not provide gardaí will all the information they had are also asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200, or any garda station.
