A man in his 20s has been arrested following a road crash on the M50 early this morning in which another man died and a woman was seriously injured.
The single vehicle crash happened on the N2/M50 northbound slip road at Junction 5 shortly after 1am.
One of the occupants of the car, a man in his 20s, died while another passenger, a woman in her 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital where she is in a serious condition.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at a garda station in Dublin.
Gardaí carried out a technical examination of the scene and have appealed to any witnesses to contact them.
