Travel agents say Irish tourists are avoiding hotter destinations in peak months, suggesting a trend may be emerging.
In the latest episode of Behind the Story, Katie Hannon, Fran McNulty, and David McCullagh talk about why people may be avoiding Greece and Spain and be opting for northern Europe instead.
This comes following a report by Consumer Affairs Correspondent Aengus Cox, which looked at how Norway is seeing a 50% rise in visitors year-on-year, and how sunny destinations are seeing a spike in spring and autumn months.
The team also take a look at the online forum Tattle Life, following a landmark court case in Belfast which saw a couple awarded £300,000 in damages after they took legal action against the site over defamatory comments posted on it about them.
The ruling means the door may now be open for others to take action against the site, while its owner was named for the first time on Friday.
