An American woman has died after being struck by a car at the Giant’s Causeway in Co Antrim.
One person was arrested at the scene and is assisting the PSNI with its investigation.
The PSNI said it responded to reports of a woman being struck in the Causeway Road area of Bushmills at around 12.30pm.
They named the woman as 40-year-old Allison Eichner from Connecticut in the US.
She was taken to hospital by emergency services where she later died from her injuries.
"Detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision, and would ask anyone who might have information which could assist, to get in touch," Detective Inspector Cherith Adair said.
"The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 683 of 11/06/25."
