A woman in her 70s has died in a collision involving a car and a van in Co Donegal.
The incident occurred on the R245 at Bunlin Bridge in Milford at around 7.30pm last night.
The woman, who was the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The male driver of the van, aged in his 50s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no other injuries reported.
The road remains closed pending an examination by garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
They have appealed to any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 7.15pm and 7.45pm, to make this footage available to them.
