Children's Health Ireland (CHI) and the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) will appear before the new Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday, for an update on progress on the new hospital.
The Board has said that work towards substantial completion of the new hospital is continuing and approaching the final stages.
The last substantial completion date indicated by the builders BAM was next month.
After building completion, the commissioning phase will take around nine months with the new hospital due to open next year.
The Bord said that a key focus currently relates to the completion of all rooms and spaces within the hospital to the standard required by the contract, to be snag free.
It said that this process is advancing and in addition, the technical commissioning is being undertaken and will continue until substantial completion.
The builders BAM committed to providing early access to CHI up to three months prior to substantial completion.
The Board said that early access for CHI has not yet commenced, as the areas identified for early access are not yet completed to the standard required by the contract.
The Board said it has been engaging with BAM and CHI to facilitate early access as soon as possible.
