Europe's highest court has sided with the New York Times after it challenged the EU Commission on its withholding of texts between its president Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
The texts were sent ahead of the EU agreeing a deal for 1.8 billion vaccine doses in May 2021.
In the latest episode of Behind the Story Fran and David are joined by RTÉ's Europe Editor Tony Connelly as they go through why this story is so significant.
The team also take a look at the planned peace talks between Ukraine and Russia in Turkey on Thursday, and whether or not Vladimir Putin will show up.
As of Wednesday Moscow still hadn’t responded to the invitation, and as more time goes by optimism that a new ceasfire will be agreed to is fading.
You can listen to David, Fran, and Tony's analysis on the situation on Behind the Story which is available on the RTÉ Radio Player.
