Motorcyclist in his 20s killed in crash in Co Galway

A motorcyclist in his 20s has died in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Co Galway.

The crash occurred on the N67 at Tonroe in Oranmore shortly after 4pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

His body was removed to University Hospital Galway where a post-mortem examination will take place.

The coroner has been notified.

There were no other injuries reported.

Garda forensic investigators have examined the scene and the road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

They are specifically calling on any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and who may have footage, including dash-cam footage, to make it available to them.
