Actors and filmmakers will take to the red carpet in London this evening for the annual BAFTA Film awards.
This year, the Irish language film 'Kneecap' received six nominations in the categories of Outstanding Debut, Original Screenplay, Best Film not in English, Editing, Casting and Outstanding British Film.
Ireland's Saoirse Ronan is nominated in the Leading Actress category for her film, 'The Outrun'.


There have been nominations too for the Donald Trump biopic, 'The Apprentice', which was co-produced by Irish film company, Tailored Films.
The film 'Bird', starring Barry Keoghan, is nominated in the Outstanding British Film category.
The BAFTAs get underway this evening at London's Royal Festival Hall.
It will be hosted by once again by the award winning actor, David Tennant.
