A man in his 40s, who was seriously injured in an assault in Dublin at the weekend, has died.
The incident occurred at the entrance to a pub on Clonsilla Road in Clonsilla shortly after 11pm on Sunday.
The man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he died last night.
A man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested in connection with the incident, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday.
Gardaí are appealing to an off-duty medical professional who provided assistance at the scene to contact them.
They are also appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the pub at the time of the incident, particularly anyone with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage, from Clonsilla Road between the junctions of Shelerin Road and Porterstown Road to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
