RTÉ journalist and newscaster Brian Jennings has been honoured with a 'Professional Excellence Award' from Griffith College Dublin.
At a ceremony at Griffith College's Dublin campus, Mr Jennings was presented with a 'Professional Excellence Award' from the college.
Senior Journalism Lecturer Barry Finnegan told the ceremony: "Brian's time as a journalist, news reporter and newscaster to date has been a great service to this nation.
"For almost 40 years, Brian Jennings' calm professionalism has encapsulated all that is good about Irish journalism and Irish radio.
"Reliable, dependable, reasoned, measured, fair, accurate and importantly, an absolute pleasure to listen to."
The award was presented at Griffith College's graduation ceremony this morning.
