Heavy rain and thundery downpours are expected tomorrow night amid a Status Yellow rain warning for Ireland.

Met Éireann said a band of heavy rain will move eastwards across the country, with localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions possible.

The warning will be in effect from 10pm tomorrow until 8am on Monday morning.

The forecaster said the outlook for next week will be unsettled at first, becoming more mixed as the week goes on.

Temperatures will generally be in the mid to high teens, with mild and humid nights.
