Two people in their 50s have been arrested in connection with the murder of Josephine 'Josie' Ray from Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
Ms Ray, who was also known as Joan, was found dead at her home in St Joseph's Park in Nenagh on Sunday afternoon.
Ms Ray's funeral took place at St Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh today, where she was remembered as a "woman of remarkable presence" who was a "beacon" of the town.
This afternoon, gardaí said a man and a woman in their 50s were arrested in relation to the investigation.
The two people are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at garda stations in the southern region.
Gardaí said they are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the death.
