A stray rubber duck, which was part of a 2006 world record attempt on Dublin's River Liffey, has found its way to the north of Scotland.
The now-faded duck was found by Marion Miller’s son Filip, who came across it while walking the dog at a nearby beach.
Filip brought the toy home, where Ms Miller found the writing 'World Record Duck Race Ireland 2006’ on it, along with a unique code.
The pair Googled the race and found an event from across the Irish Sea that took place almost 700km away and 18 years ago.
A total of around 150,000 yellow plastic ducks took to the River Liffey in June of that year in a bid to set a world record and raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin.

However, things did not go to plan, with many of the ducks heading in the wrong direction.
Although the world record was not meant to be, more than €100,000 was raised for charity.
Ms Miller said it was clear that the beach find was "something special".
"Just the thought of it, you know, a little duck bobbing along for 18 years. It’s quite fun."
