The funeral of Pogue's singer Shane MacGowan is to be held in his home county of Tipperary on Friday.
The funeral Mass is open to the public and will take place in St Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh.
The musician regularly returned to Tipperary and was a frequent visitor at Philly Ryan's pub in Nenagh.
Across the road from the pub is the undertakers, JJ Ryan's, and Philly Ryan will look after the funeral arrangements.
Mr MacGowan's father Maurice lives in the Nenagh area and his sister Siobhan lives nearby in Dromineer.
He is predeceased by his mother Therese.
President Michael D Higgins is expected to attend the funeral along with high profile figures from the world of the arts and music.
He has described Mr MacGowan as one of music's greatest lyricists, adding that his songs would be "perfectly crafted poems".
Mr MacGowan passed away peacefully at his home in Dublin after spending several months receiving treatment at St Vincent's Hospital.
Earlier plans for the funeral were understood to have included a procession through Dublin city, but those plans have since changed.
His widow, Victoria Mary Clarke, yesterday told RTE's Brendan O'Connor Show that the Irish music legend "was putting up a really strong fight" when he passed away at their Dublin home.
Independent Councillor Seamus Morris said he hoped people will come and "share in the memories of Shane MacGowan who was an absolute legend".
He described the musician as a man that lived life to the full and said "there will be great stories told, friends of his that have met him and celebrated life with him over years".
Speaking on RTÉ's This Week, Mr Morris said Mr MacGowan was involved in the local community in Nenagh, adding "he's a very well known north Tipperary man and we are very proud of him".
